PRP/BE – PRP/BN2

SPEDO Disc harrows series PRP are hitched to the tractor’s 3pt lift arms and are of the tandem type, i.e. consisting of four gangs of independent and opposing discs. These implements are recommended for tractors from 100 to 140 HP.

Disc harrows are widely used for cultivating the outward layers of the soil.  Thanks to their versatility, disc harrows can be used from multiple types of users, e.g. cereal growers, orchards, vineyards, poplar growers, contractors as well as growers close to farm animals.

Tandem disc harrows are particularly recommended for chopping up crop leftovers, incorporating fertilizers or livestock residuals as well as for eradicating weeds.  Moreover, these implements are used for preparing the seedbed, breaking up clods and reduce unevennesses in previously plowed terrains.

SPEDO disc harrows highlight themselves for the superior quality of the supports, i.e. the components which, in addition to the bearings, enable disc rotation. Vertical and horizontal oscillation, enhances the adaptation of the disc-gangs to the roughness of the terrain, reducing at the same time the stress for bearings and mainframe.

Soil cultivation with disc harrow has always revealed particularly advantageous, as it doesn’t require the use of tractor’s PTO but only its towing capacity. In this way, it is possible to achieve considerable savings of time and fuel, as well as to increase environmental protection.
